Oh man, life is currently hectic. I've had a lot on my plate lately, so sorry for less and more sporadic updating than before.
I'd like to start this post by thanking Arik Cannon and the F1RST Wrestling crew for having me at Wrestlepalooza II last month and putting on a really interesting/fantastic take on what a westling show could be. Wrestlepalooza was part burlesque show, part punk show, part wrestling show, but all just a ton of fun.
The photos below are from the main event of the night. This wildly fun main event featured El Chivas Blanco vs. "The Kentucky Gentleman" Chuck Taylor vs. "The Anarchist" Arik Cannon vs. "Playboy" Pete Huge. Throughout the night Chuck Taylor had made his thoughts known on what he so disdainfully referred to as the "godless whores"of burlesque dancers who were performing. Naturally by the end of the night Taylor was fed up enough to interrupt the final dancer and thus began a really hilarious and entertaining match from all four of these wrestlers. A ton of really great spots and fun action. Chuck Taylor is so great at what he does that he alone makes this match worth watching. Cannon is also just one of the most likable wrestlers I've gotten a chance to shoot and with his hometown crowd behind him there are some great moments with him. Mix in the plain weirdness of El Chivas Blanco, and how obviously uncomfortable that lifestyle makes Pete Huge, not to mention great wrestling throughout.
If you're into fun wrestling, good punk rock, and half naked girls, go check out Wrestlepalooza II.
You can buy the digital version RIGHT HERE and I believe they are doing a DVD in the future.
